Cardiac Rehab 

Professionally supervised exercise and educational programs for people who have had a heart attack, angina or bypass surgery, or who are at high risk for developing coronary artery disease because of family history, high blood pressure, diabetes or elevated cholesterol. Call 914-366-3742.

Cardiovascular Diagnostic

Echocardiography, pharmacological and standard stress tests, vascular studies and tilt studies to determine the cause of fainting, EKG, Holter monitor heart rate evaluations and a pacemaker clinic. Call 914-366-3740.

Care Connections Program

It is difficult to assist someone else if your needs as a caregiver are not met. Led by a social worker, this program will provide our patients’ caregivers with emotional support, counseling and the resources necessary to navigate the healthcare system. Child Care 

Robins Nest, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, offers education and recreation for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years. Call 914-366-3232.

Emergency Services 

The Emergency Department has 32 private rooms, each with a television, telephone and visitor chairs. The department has a digital radiology suite that features a 64-slice CT scanner. Every patient is evaluated by an experienced emergency medicine provider. Endoscopy/Gastroenterology 

The Endoscopy unit has the most advanced technology available. Procedures include colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound and balloon enteroscopy. Conditions diagnosed and treated include abdominal pain, acid reflux and Barrett’s Esophagus; bile duct bleeding; cancer in the digestive tract; gallbladder pain; pancreatitis; polyps; rectal cancer; and Zenker’s diverticulum. Hospitality Program 

Hospitality representatives offer patients individualized attention and emotional support and do whatever they can to ensure a patient’s stay is as comfortable as possible. The program operates seven days a week, including holidays, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on inpatient units and from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. in the Emergency Department. Call 914-366-3236.

Hyperbaric Medicine Center

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is effective for treating conditions, such as tissue damage from radiation treatment and certain types of nonhealing wounds. During treatment, patients breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. Call 914-366-3690. 

Infusion Center

The Outpatient Infusion Center at Phelps is designed to provide a comfortable environment for those receiving infusions, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions and antibiotic therapy. Other drug therapies include treatment for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic inflammatory diseases, including psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and chronic juvenile arthritis, as well as chronic systemic disorders such as psoriasis, Crohn’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Outpatient infusion of other drugs, such as antibiotics or Lyme disease treatment, is also available. A physician referral is required. Call 914-366-1650.

Lung Nodule Center 

People at risk for developing lung cancer or who have been diagnosed with a lung nodule and seek a second opinion can access state-of-the-art screening, diagnosis and treatment. Call 914-366-2333.

Maternity and Newborn Care

Phelps offers a family-focused birthing experience and is a “Baby Friendly Hospital,” ensuring that new mothers receive the information and support to provide the confidence and skills needed to succeed in breastfeeding and caring for their infants. Our highly trained orthopedic surgeons will provide the customized treatment you need to get back to your routine. In addition to our surgical staff, our orthopedic team includes nurses, physician assistants and rehab specialists who will ensure your support and comfort from diagnosis to rehabilitation. We offer a variety of nonsurgical and surgical treatment options for your orthopedic-related aches and pains. In some cases, our surgeons can perform total knee replacement using ROSA, a powerful navigation system and a robot arm that provides exceptional dexterity and control of movement. Pain Center 

A team of Phelps pain management, spine surgery, neurology and other physician specialists that offer a unique, multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating pain disorders in one convenient location. Patient Care Tablet Apps

This complimentary tablet is provided by the hospital for patient use. Each tablet is assigned to a specific bed number. It is equipped with a GPS mobile tracking system and a permanent, non-removable, police-traceable serial number. Some of the applications available on each tablet are:

• Education—you can watch education videos related to your diagnosis, procedures and/or medications.
• EZ Call—you can connect with your loved one through a video call.
• Pluto TV—you can watch Live TV or Movies on Demand.
• Language Line—together with your care provider, you can connect to an interpreter for sign language and spoken languages.

Your nursing team will give you more specific instructions on how to use the device and information on other available applications.

Pharmacy 

Prescriptions can be filled at the Vivo Health Pharmacy, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the first floor of the 777 Building. Most insurances are accepted. Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physical & Occupational Therapy)

Inpatient Rehabilitation: Physical, occupational and/or speech therapy for patients recovering from orthopedic injury or surgery or stroke, among other conditions. The in-hospital location ensures optimal management of medical and rehabilitative needs. Call 914-366-3702.

Respiratory Care

Respiratory therapists care for patients who have trouble breathing and provide emergency care for patients suffering a heart attack, stroke, drowning or shock. Call 914-366-3712.

Senior Health

The Senior Health and Internal Medicine Practice provides adult and geriatric primary care, including functional assessments, fall evaluations, and memory loss and depression screenings. The practice also offers palliative care. Call 914-366-3677.

Sleep Center 

The Sleep Center offers diagnostic testing for patients with sleep disorders. The center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and offers both home and in-person sleep testing. Call 914-366-3626.

Speech & Hearing

The Speech & Hearing Center offers diagnostic, remedial and treatment programs for children and adults with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and hearing disorders. The center also dispenses hearing aids. Call 914-366-3010.

Stroke Center

The New York State Department of Health designated Phelps as a Stroke Center, ensuring quick access to quality stroke care for area residents. Phelps consistently receives the highest recognition (Gold Plus award) from the American Stroke and Heart Associations.

Thoracic Surgery

Our thoracic surgeons bring the most advanced treatments available, including the latest in robotics with the daVinci XI surgical system.

Vascular Institute

The Vascular Institute offers treatment for diseases of the arteries and veins of the body, except those in the heart and brain, such as: aneurysms, blockage of the carotid artery, peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, venous thromboembolic disease and renal hypertension. Wound Healing Institute

This interdisciplinary outpatient program is dedicated to healing difficult wounds from diabetes, vascular problems, chronic infections or old traumas.
