Located in Sleepy Hollow, NY, Phelps is a 218-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital with 1,700 employees and 1,100 medical staff representing 60 clinical specialties. The hospital is administered by the Executive Director and leadership team with the input and consultancy of a community advisory board.
Since its founding in 1955, Phelps has been providing inpatient and ambulatory services to the residents of local communities. The hospital’s patients come from communities both east and west of the Hudson River. In 2023, Phelps had 8,150 inpatient discharges, 187,194 outpatient visits, and 28,065 Emergency Department visits and admissions.
Phelps is part of Northwell Health, the largest healthcare provider in New York State. This alliance helps ensure Phelps will continue to be a full-service, acute care hospital and fulfill its mission to provide quality healthcare services to our community.
